Let's say there is a problem. What can you do to fix it? You want to start GC fresh?
Relax... I have seen many people who bought PDs from consultants paying 10k and got GCs too. Don't worry. If you post these kind of threads, it make people waiting for years more frustrating. Be happy for your luck. Go chill. Don't keep saying you are afraid and all.

Again he wants his message to be clear. Here in US, Indians means Native Indians. Everyone till now whom I have come across refer to Indain while they speak and that is for Native Indians and not us. Also our motherland INDIA is in south east asia which is why he clearly said EAST INDIANS. So take a dip in cold water and move on.
Can't you see the Gandhi link? Gandhi is East Indian and thats why he might have associated it with East Indian community. Dont harp too much on What Mr Oh wants/thinks.

My immigration status is H1 (485 pending EB2/INDIA). I am on the verge of completing my 2 year Masters in Computer Information Systems (MS-CIS) from Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri. Its a distance education Masters program with one week of on-campus residency every semester. The program is geared towards working IT professionals and its accredited by AACSB. It is precisely this type of ignorance and reluctance to address the real issues by both sides of the issue that makes our predicament so difficult to fix(as with many other policy issues that need fixing in this country). It is an almost insurmountable feat to get the policy makers and even the debaters on this issue to distinguish between the issues of illegal immigration and legal immigration in this country. This obfuscation is not by accident but by clear intent to serve each their specific interests.
Were that not the case, why don't these "we need to stand by the rule of law" enforcement types, call for an improvement in the situation for those "who have followed the law", simply put, it is only convenient for them to say that when they are speaking about the illegals, but alas they are against us legals as well................. so how can they ask anyone to believe that they are anything but anti immigrant period.
The pro immigrant guys blur the distinction specifically because they consider us a sweetener in the deal no less and no more they really don't consider the way we came any better or worse than the way others arrived, it is simply either all or none for them.
A rational policy that the American people can be asked to accept IMHO would involve, strict enforcement both at the border and interior at multiple sites including workplace, policies to alleviate the plight of the legals to demonstrate that way is rewarded and finally a strict case by case evaluation of illegals where some are given amnesty(if they have US children, spouse, lived here over X number of years and can prove it etc) Some will have to be made to have to leave to demonstrate that illegal behavior is not condoned or rewarded, be they Mexicans, Indians or Irish.
Alas, this cannot and will not be done due to the cowardice OF BOTH SIDES of this debate. Cowardice is sadly now changing to outright disdain for immigrants and that is sad in this great country of immigrants. Now the obfuscation will see a backlash emerging against us legals as well.

Obviously you have benefitted already from what's happened. Think about people who are stuck (just as you were up until recently) and want to 'try' to make things work for them too....

Positive PPD just means u are exposed to TB is the past ans CXR confirms that u dont have active disease .Treatment in this case is only optional and patient has to decide if he or she wants to be treated for that .Only people with HIV of other immune def dieases must be treated for pos PPD.

hi beuhler....if i understand your reply correctly, you meant that as long as there is proof that your marraige date(marraige certificate) is prior to gc approval notice...there is 6 months to file for the i485 for the wife even though she may be in india at the time of marraige?
There is no 6 months requirement. PERIOD.
As long as dependent relationship existed at the time of I-485 approval, she can either file I-485 (if in USA) or can file in home country for immigrant visa (follow to join).

Spend some money and get your credentials evaluated by a professional organization - you should be able to locate one online. Some prof giving his opinion wont cut it with USCIS.

I am EB3 with priority date Oct. 2006. My qualification from India is 3 years (B.Com) plus 1 year of M.com (I didn't complete the 2nd year) plus Intermediate ICWA and Chartered Accountancy. I got here in the USA in December 1999 on H1B and always maintained the status. I completed CPA in 2002 in the USA.
I did some research to port to EB2 (based on Bachelors degree plus 5 years experience) but it seems that USCIS wants 4 years continuous degree to be considered for EB2.
Is that true? Is there anyone in my situation who has done this porting successfully?
Any help will be greatly appreciate.

The trouble with all these options is they are developed countries alright, but at least for techies, these countries just dont have a solid job market. I have friends who immigrated to Australia, got their PR and citizenship in 3 years and are now looking to immigrate to US !! Welcome to IV is all I can tell them.
