By the way, do you believe in the news from other billion news website? I think most of us visit other websites to verify if the info is correct so that there is no propoganda involved. Does your new I-140 have the old PD printed on it ?
If so you are better filing a new I-485.... and withdraw the old 485, as several threads have explained not to have two 485's running parallel because USCIS itself will ask the user to revoke one...
Please do let us know what happened after you know the information from M team.

Man why you need reciepts?
First of all those receipts are Applicant's (Employee's) property so I believe, if something is my property I MUST have it with me... Period. Now one thoughful reason is that, during the whole damn process, if you are not satisfied with the action taken by your lawyer and you want to change your attorney then having receipts with you would make your life easy then. Actually my attorney is really good and I do not see this coming but hey, if you have your originals with you it is better. Another reason is that suppose say in future, if you have to plan for Emergency travel outside, you would not have to plan waiting for receipts coming from your attorney then.

I had a account in Bank of America, and they sent me a letter when i asked them to send a "Account verification letter for Immigration purposes" They charged me $10 for that and took around a week. See if you can open a account at a local bank and try transfering the money to that account, Before you decide on opening a account , confirm if they issue such a letter.

You could argue that you don't need to have a job now, just that you need to be in a "same or similar"position when the 485 is approved. if your priority date is very backlogged, you have lots of time to find a job.

I am very curious to know if you have been successful in responding to an RFE in the manner you mentioned and USCIS accepted the agrument and continued with AOS for any of your clients. I understand that given the circumstances the OP does not have much of an option since he does not have a job right now. But it would be interesting to know if USCIS has accepted such an argument in the past.

is LCA for H1 filed after you joined company B - is it legal ?
Its likely possible you may have signed some contract with them in the offer letter, you can keep the communication only thru emails. And ask them for a copy for the basis for their standing.

I never worked for Company B , I am still with Company A. Company B just got the LCA approved (and they claim that they have filed for the H1b transfer). The start date with Company B as per the offer letter is 1 week from now. I informed them that I cannot join them 1 week before.
I have same set of copies (offer letter) that I signed them, I couldn't find anything which says anything about $3000. All it says "At Will" in nature. All of a sudden these guys are coming with a 3 months story which I am not seeing and there is no evidence.
I am afraid if they will insert a paper or something like that with in the offer letter, don't know..these guys will do anything.

My wife has a non-working SSN. Will she need to convert it (or apply for a new SSN) to working SSN once she starts working persuant to EAD?
Do you mean ITIN or an SSN with a statement underneath? If it is ITIN, then she would need to apply for the real SSN. If it has the statement 'Not valid for employement' then she may get one, too, it would read 'Valid for employment with USCIS authorization'.

If the provision to let people apply for I-485 without current PD passes, that takes away some pain related to waiting. Nobody can predict when EB3 will become current worldwide or country specific.

Lets say my H1b renewal is pending..while its pending I used EAD for a diff company than my sponsoring company( I will be with my Sponsoring company but in bench). Then my H1b gets approved. Can I still work with a diff company till I choose to go out to stamp for H1b and once am in US i can start working for my sponsoring company again?

1. This is debated a lot - some attorneys feel send it only when they ask for it, some say it is better to send letter proactively
2. For these apps there can be a new attorney - i think the old G-28 for 485 will still be effective/ valid
3. As of now - it should be similar and subject to interpretation
4. Proferred wage is considered the minimum requirement - so i think it should be ok. But i dont know for a big jump

I am trying to understand importance of PD after one files 485. I filed my 485 in Jul 2007 and got FP in Sep 07. Then I got a notice for in person interview with USCIS officer. At the end of interview the USCIS officer indicated that the case is approved but will have to wait for Visa # to get the GC. The interview had happened in the month of Feb when visa for EB2 was Unavailable. My PD is Nov 06 and I am just trying to understand how this process will work.
Will my GC be processed when the dates on visa bulletin will be show have nov 06 or it will just get processed as there is no reason to hold the adjudication? Background check or any other

There is no premium process for PERM. if you get audited, it will take 1-2 years to get approval. You can do premium for I-140
